Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, is located in the immediate vicinity of Japodski Otoci near Bihać.

A Natural Miracle

Plitvice is stunning in every season. One day is barely enough to explore the 16 lakes connected by hundreds of waterfalls. The color of the water changes from azure to green, grey or blue depending on the minerals and sunlight.

Local Tip: Plan Ahead!

Unlike local spots, Plitvice requires planning. Daily entry is limited. Golden Rule: Buy tickets ONLINE at least one day in advance for a specific time slot. Seasonality: Summer sees the biggest crowds and highest prices. Winter offers a frozen fairytale but upper lakes might be closed.

Prices & Seasons

Tickets vary by season, ranging roughly from 24 to 40 EUR for adults in peak summer. Always check their official website for real-time info.
